Ronnie Simpson’s independent agency won 13 PRCA Certificates for Excellence in Communications over 14 yrs including overall awards for New Media PR, B2B PR and Corporate PR.
International PR: Simpson was one of the first Irish PR agencies to win the main award for New Media. Ronnie also implemented the first international PR campaign to win an overall PR award for excellence for an indigenous software firm (later acquired for €48m in cash). Simpson was also selected as Ireland’s Outstanding Small PR Consultancy (6 or under employees) – the first and only time this award has been made. Indigenous high tech start-ups: Ronnie has worked with many Irish tech start-ups as well as blue chip Silicon Valley leaders. He was an adviser to the Irish Venture Capital Association over ten years. Ronnie Simpson was the first PR consultant to a number of indigenous Irish tech firms later sold for over €300m including Allfinanz, Norkom Technologies, Perlico and Saaspoint. He worked on O2’s highly successful B2B PR between 2007 and 2014 – helping to re-position it from a mobile company to an ICT (Information & Communications Technology) business provider. O2 was acquired by Hutchison Whampoa (3) in 2014 for an estimated €850m.
